Introduction to Sharp Cutting
An important part of learning to use a sword is validating your technique. This is done by cutting targets with a sharp longsword. If you have never handled a sharp before then this class is required. You will be taught how to safely handle a longsword and take your first practice strikes.
Beginner Sharp Cutting
Anyone who has finished the Introduction to Sharp Cutting class may take this class. You will need to purchase prepared Tatami at $5 each at least 1 week before the class. During this class you are able to qualify for your Schuler rank requirements.
Intermediate Sharp Cutting
This class is for anyone that has taken at least one Beginner Sharp Cutting class previously. Weapons other than the Longsword may be used during this portion. Persons wishing to qualify for their Fechter rank requirements may do so. As with the Beginner Sharp Cutting class there is a $5 charge per prepared Tatami that must be paid at least 1 week in advance.
Discussion and Clean Up
This portion of the class is to review peoples performance and do a final clean up of the space.
